The directory and recruitment services covered by this policy are not designed to collect or hold patient clinical records, diagnoses, symptoms, treatment records or other patient medical information as part of an ordinary listing.
Healthcare providers remain responsible for the patient and clinical information they collect and process in providing their own healthcare services. Their obligations include confidentiality, clinical records, consent, safeguarding, security, professional regulation and any applicable CQC requirements.
A future BFS Digital application involving patient or clinical information will be treated as a separate product. It will not be launched until the applicable legal, regulatory, clinical governance, data protection and security requirements have been separately assessed and completed.
